It is not uncommon for a therapist to hear that clients are concerned about:
· Having psoriasis, skin tags, or back acne
· Feeling too overweight
· Feeling their feet are ugly
· Being ashamed of scars or marks on their body
· Having excessive hair
· Having a hairy back, legs or arms
As a client, this is your massage. If you want the therapist to avoid certain areas, you can request certain areas to be avoided. So, if you don’t have time to shave your legs (especially in the winter!), not to worry. Your therapist could care less if you have hair on your legs or if your toe nails are polished!
